ABAT Students "Connecting Classrooms" at Byblos!

Today was quite a memorable day at ABAT! Why is that? Well, it was the elementary trip to Byblos as part of the British Council "Connecting Classrooms" project for this year.

Earlier this month, our students did their research about this historical site, and they designed awesomely creative postcards to inform their peers in the UK about the magnificence of one of our irreplaceable Lebanese touristic sites. FINALLY, our students took the ride to Byblos with utmost excitement.

Our first stop was at the souks where you can clearly feel the history rising from every corner there; the wooden doors, the old streets, the handmade souvenirs representing thousands of years of ancestry.

The Byblos Fortress was our next pit stop. The whole place smelled old yet highly refreshing. We started with a tour in the fortress museum that summarized all the history and artifacts of ancient Byblos. The picturesque site was simply breathtaking!

Our trip was not to end without a final stop at the Byblos Park. Over there, our little ones had the time of their lives laughing, singing, playing football and racquetball. What about the teachers? To tell you the truth, they had their share in the fun, too!

We went back to Beirut with lots of unforgettable sweet memories… The trip was a total blast!

See you soon!!!
